Maria Sledmere (she/they) is an Ayrshire-raised, Glasgow-based academic, artist, educator and editor working between text, image and theory. The author of over twenty books, they have a Doctorate of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow (2022), following an MA in English Literature (2015) and MLitt in Modernities (2017). Maria is Lecturer in English and Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde. As a music journalist, Maria has written reviews, features and interviews for GoldFlakePaint, The List, The Skinny, London in Stereo, Balloon Machine, Secret Meeting, Ravechild.
