The Salon, Christmas 2019

University of Glasgow Fore Hall

A creative forum in which to explore our research, teaching & public engagement – this time with a special focus on socially engaged art.

– What is the relationship between our work and socially engaged art?
– How does our research, teaching and creative practice inform and inspire civic engagement with and through the arts?

You are warmly invited to join the School of Culture and Creative Arts at The Salon this Christmas, to consider questions of socially engaged art and practice in the company of our colleagues and creative partners. The programme runs from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock, and will be followed by an informal drinks reception.

What is The Salon?

The Salon is an informal, creative forum which aims to inspire and explore new thinking about research, teaching and public engagement through open, cross-disciplinary discussion. It is a regular feature of the School of Culture and Creative Arts’ calendar.

What’s in it for me?

  • Explore ideas relevant to our research and practice, at all stages of development, with colleagues from across the School and beyond
  • Build networks, perhaps opening new opportunities for collaboration
  • Learn more about and inform the shape of upcoming initiatives
